  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

Two CDs - two completely different pieces, but both inspired by the fantastic art films made by artist Stan Brakhage (many of which can be ordered at Criterion Films.) There is one extended work on each CD: "Hand" for large ensemble, conducted by three members of Rova at once; "Wall" for Rova Sax Quartet and two percussionists. Recorded in 2005 and featuring an amazing array of San Francisco Bay Area musicians including Ben Goldberg, Joan Jeanrenaud, Gino Robair, John Schott and William Winant, plus Rova Sax Quartet.

The gatefold cover opens up and reveals about 6 frames of film stock from one of Brakhage's hand-painted films, in beautiful color reproduction.

Standard price gets you this CD. But there are also about TEN COPIES LEFT OF THE SPECIAL EDITION CD AT $65 including postage. FEATURING FOUR EXCLUSIVE POSTCARDS FROM THE ONLY PERFORMANCES OF "HAND" swell as being autographed by the composer.

Includes unlimited streaming of The Mirror World (for Stan Brakhage) via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.
